Breakfast is Just One
of the Highlights of Your Stay at the 1774 Inn
The 1774 Bed and Breakfast Inn has a relaxed and irresistible breakfast atmosphere. Breakfast is served in the beautiful formal dining room, where you will be surrounded by the authentic pre-revolutionary ambiance of original wood paneling, an open fireplace, shutters and window seats. For a Maine cottage experience, guests are welcome to dine in the smaller, subtly stylish kitchen dining room with magnificent views of the Kennebec River.

A Generous Breakfast Buffet and Leisurely Dining Experience Await You
The 1774 Inn offers a generous buffet of chilled juices, tea or coffee, fresh fruit, granola, pastries, butter and jams. A tempting hot course also awaits our guests each day. On glorious sunny days we invite you to take your coffee or tea on to the open-air deck and watch the seals lazing about on one of the near-shore river islands. Binoculars also provided!
Try one of Our Favorite Local Maine Restaurants
For lunch and dinner accommodations, and during the high season (May-October), we like to recommend our local restaurants: Spinney’s at Popham Beach; Anna’s Water’s Edge at Sebasco; and the Lobster House at Small Point.

Recommended Restaurants in Nearby Bath, Maine
Beyond these very local three venues are a number of delightful choices in nearby Bath, a mere 10 minute drive. Particularly good are the Solo Bistro, Admiral Steakhouse, Kennebec Tavern, Byrne’s Irish Pub, Mae’s Cafe, The Cabin and Beale Street Barbecue.
More Restaurant Choices in Brunswick,
Topsham, and Georgetown, Maine
We also like Clementine’s and Henry and Marty’s in Brunswick; the Sea Dog in Topsham, and the Robinhood Free Meetinghouse in Georgetown. Lobsters and clams are the local specialty, though there are plenty of other dining choices available!
“Thanks for such a great stay. The Inn is beautiful and the views are amazing.
Hat’s off to the cooks too! We will definitely be back.”
