The Woodshed Suite

Inspired by classic Maine camps, this rustic yet sophisticated room features a four-poster queen size bed, reclaimed barn wood throughout, and a large private bathroom with a shower and decorative copper soaking tub. Windowed French doors open to a private porch with sweeping views of the water and grounds.

Located on the first floor of the "Shipwrights' Quarters" in the ell that links the manor house to the barn.

Note that this is the inn's only bedroom located on the first floor, and that the room is next to the event barn.

 

The Haggett Room

This sophisticated, spacious room features plenty of natural light and expansive views of the water and grounds. The large private bath has a shower and tub (the only manor house bathroom with a tub). Antique pine floors, a classic four-poster queen size bed, and lounge chairs for reading and relaxing by the cast iron stove.

Located on the second floor of the manor house. A second door connects this room to the ell.

The room is named after Bill and Ada Haggett, stewards of the home during the second half of the 20th century until its renovation in the early 2000s.

 

The Hill Room

This elegant, spacious room boasts plenty of natural light and beautiful views of the front flower garden. It has a four-poster queen size bed, a private bathroom with a shower, antique pine floors, an open fireplace, original wood shutters and paneling, and period furniture.

Located on the second floor of the main house, across from the Haggett Room.

The room is named for the Honorable Mark Langdon Hill, the stepson of John McCobb and Maine’s first US Congressman, who inherited the home in 1782 as its second owner. 

 

The Minott Room

This serene room features gorgeous views of the water and grounds, and plenty of natural light. It has a queen size bed, private bathroom with a shower, antique pine floors, original wood shutters and paneling, and a mixture of antique and coastal farmhouse decor. The antique writing desk is a particular favorite—perfect for writing a novel or just a postcard on one of our vintage postcards.

Located on the second floor of the manor house, across from the McCobb Room.

The room is named after Charles Minott, the first famous Maine shipbuilder who became the third owner of the McCobb-Hill-Minott House in 1854. 

 

The McCobb Room

This spacious room beams with natural light from four large windows with beautiful views of the grounds, surrounding woods and 250-year old linden tree. It has a four-poster king size bed, private bathroom with a shower, antique pine floors, original wood paneling, an open fireplace. The decor brings the outdoors inside with soft hues of green, blue, white and warm wood. The vibe is coastal and relaxed, yet refined.

Located on the second floor of the manor house, across from the Minott Room.

The room is named in honor of Captain James McCobb, who built the house as a gift for his wife in 1774. She planted a linden tree in front of the house that same year. It still stands proudly today.

 

The Kennebec Room

This cozy, coastal room has views of the Kennebec River and grounds from two smaller windows, antique pine floors, a Queen size live-edge bed and a private bathroom with a shower. 

Located in the corner on the second floor of the "Shipwrights' Quarters,” built in 1860 to house Charles Minnott's best shipwrights, in the ell that links the manor house to the barn.

 

The Linden Room

This cozy room has views of the Kennebec River and grounds from a smaller window, an antique French full size bed, and pine floors. It shares a bathroom with the Popham Room next door. 

Located on the second floor of the "Shipwrights' Quarters," built in the 1860 to house Charles Minnott's best shipwrights.

The Popham Room

This cozy room has views of the Kennebec River from a smaller window, twin beds and antique pine floors. It shares a bathroom with the Linden Room next door.
